As the futuristic year of 2010 becomes a real threat this next week, hte Aquabats reflect on our career and have so much to be grateful for....We officially enter a new chapter in our lives as we come the end of the road...
the end of 2009.
...and the end our touring forever....
for this year.
We wanted to say...Happy NEW YEAR to everyone out there!
TO .... All of our friends around the world! Some of whom we got to hang with this year and to some who we haven't seen in a long time. Too long.
Let's let next year be different and see old friends... make new ones, spread cheer and stiff upper lips across the universe.
Thanks for being with us at these last few shows of our existence...this year...
Here is a news piece on one of our last shows... ever... this year....

Speaking of last shows ever....we also wanted to spread some more joy and cheer... as long as we are still here.. by releasing these two new holiday hits for everyone..
Those of you who came out to the shows this past weekend got these already... and
Many of you have maybe heard these already but here they are officially for you all...
the first is a cover of the 1980's Lyndsey Buckingham classic HOLIDAY ROAD! Produced by Cameron Webb and Ricky Fitness and was reformed just in time for the generic Holiday Greetings.
So as not to offend ...you understand....
and the second and old timey Christmas hit ...SANTA CLAUS'S PARTY.... a song originally recorded by the Les Baxter Orchestra and this time cleverly re-creafted by the Aquabats and super music genius stud... WARREN FITZGERALD from the VANDALS!! Warren produced this track and recorded it just in time to offend people at Christmas time. So as to blatantly say.... MERRY CHRISTMAS.....you understand....
At any rate, we hope you are all offended and defended at the same time.....
to those that are easily offended....
Please accept with no obligation, implied or explicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.
We also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great.
Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishes.
and to everyone else...
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
